Job summary

Altus Community Healthcare is seeking an Ultrasound Technician (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) to perform ultrasound procedures and deliver high-quality imaging for patient care. The role requires certification and clinical experience to ensure accurate diagnostics, patient safety, and efficient workflow within the imaging department.

Responsibilities include communicating with patients, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with physicians to interpret findings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is CAAHEP accredited.
• At least 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience.
• Active ARDMS certification(s) and current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound diagnostic procedures with documented competency.
• Explain ultrasound procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and exam rooms in accordance with policies.
• Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team.
• Maintain patient records and notes related to procedures.
