Presbyterian Healthcare Services in New Mexico seeks a Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and contribute to patient care. The role requires a New Mexico Sonography License and ARDMS/ARRT/CCI certification, plus current BLS.

You will handle sonography orders, ensure safety and accuracy, and support the imaging team in a dynamic hospital setting. Duties include room setup, safety, memory review of studies, and collaboration with supervising providers.

Formación

• Associates Degree in related health science or graduate of an accredited program preferred in related field.
• New Mexico Sonography License required.
• Sonographer certification by ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI required.
• Current BLS required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations per infection control and safety protocols.
• Responsible for the safety of the patient during sonographic examination.
• Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information.
• Ensure that the sonography examination order is complete and medically necessary.
• Evaluate contraindications and patient preparation.
• Communicate with patient in an understandable manner.
• Use proper positioning and scanning techniques to ensure data quality and patient comfort.
• Perform diagnostic sonography ordered by supervising provider and document findings.

Educación
