Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program. If degree is not yet complete, candidates may be selected contingent on completing a degree program within 90 days of hire.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire. (Registry eligible candidates must provide a copy of diploma from accredited program.) Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology and adheres to protocols.
• Ensures patient demographics and examination data are correct; transmits QA-ed images to PACS and documents procedures in RIS.
• Performs routine procedures and tests to acquire diagnostic data and ensure quality images.
• Maintains timely work pace, reviews schedules, and keeps a clean, safe work environment.
• Uses RIS, CIS, PACS and SMS to access information and document procedure status.
• Verifies patient identity and pregnancy status; develops an action plan for examinations and emergency readiness.
