Job summary

Mercy Health Clermont Hospital seeks a Radiology Technologist to apply diagnostic imaging skills under supervision, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. You will document patient history, operate imaging equipment, and assist with contrast administration as prescribed.

The role requires ARRT Diagnostic Radiology certification, CPR/BLS, and hospital RIS/PACS experience; state licensure preferred. On-site work with various shifts and a commitment to patient-centered care is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from ARRT accredited institute (preferred).
• Certification/registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• State licensure (preferred, depending on state).
• BLS Basic Life Support certification (required at hire for some sites).
• Experience with Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and lab information for use by licensed practitioner.
• Positions and immobilizes patient while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Performs radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and radiography procedures; follows aseptic technique.
• Performs timeout per policy and manages medications/contrast as prescribed.
