Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services seeks a skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to deliver diagnostic imaging services at the VA New Jersey Health Care System in Toms River, New Jersey.

The role covers general radiography, image quality, radiation safety, and patient comfort. ARRT certification and state licensure are required, with a minimum of one year in the field. PACS proficiency and contrast media handling are expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice Radiologic Technology in the U.S. (ARRT-certified).
• Maintain current state license with no restrictions.
• Able to perform radiographic studies for medical diagnosis.
• Experience with fluoroscopy and imaging procedures.
• Experience handling contrast media and medications per regs.
• Knowledge of PACS and digital radiography systems (CR/DR).
• Experience with Bone Densitometry (DEXA) is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year as a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiographic or sonographic procedures and educate them.
• Perform diagnostic imaging exams and record internal anatomical elements.
• Ensure image quality and adjust equipment to minimize artifacts.
• Maintain radiation safety and protect patients with shielding.
• Log data into patient information systems and update PACS.
• Prepare digital images for radiologist interpretation.
• Follow VA policies and care standards.
