Job summary

CVP is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) to join our team at the VA New Jersey Health Care System, Toms River CBOC, NJ. This is a full-time, on-site role with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule.

The role requires performing a full range of CT exams, advanced ARRT CT certification, and current radiologic licensure, plus BLS and three+ years CT experience. On-site at 1051 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ.

Qualifications

State license to practice Radiologic Technology in the United States (US).
ARRT Diagnostic Radiology Certification (R) required.
Advanced ARRT Certification in CT required.
BLS certification required.
Minimum three years of CT experience as an advanced modality.
US Citizenship eligibility for Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform full-range CT exams, including contrast and non-contrast, and track CT doses.
Apply cross-sectional anatomy knowledge in CT imaging and 3-D reconstructions.
Perform Cardiac CT and Interventional CT procedures with CT Fluoro.
Operate 320-slice and 64-slice CT scanners.
Prepare patients and educate pre-test, answer questions, provide reassurance.
Maintain image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
Log data into patient information systems and transmit images/reports via PACS.
Adhere to VA/National Health Physics guidelines and infection control policies.
Ensure safety and readiness for potential emergencies.
