Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Radiology Technologist at St. Francis Downtown to provide diagnostic imaging under physician supervision. You will apply imaging techniques, protect patients with proper radiologic safety, and support patient care with documentation and coordination.

The role requires ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology and BLS; state licensure is preferred. Excellent teamwork and patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred ARRT accredited program).
• ARRT Certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• State licensure is preferred where the job is performed.
• BLS certification required at hire for some locations; preferred prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient’s clinical history and lab information for imaging.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to obtain optimal images while ensuring comfort.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Performs radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and related accessories.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic procedures and maintains aseptic technique.
• Performs timeout as required by policy and manages medications/contrast as prescribed.
