Position Details

This is a full-time Diagnostic Radiology Technologist position located at Brownsburg Urgent Care, with rotating days and weekends (36 hours weekly). The Technologist will travel to Avon Urgent Care when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy used in surgery.
• Prepare patients by explaining exams and positioning them correctly.
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging.
• Follow radiation safety protocols.
• Document detailed patient history and stay current with continuing education.
• Monitor patients during exams for safety.
• Document necessary information in EMR.
• Assist with minimally invasive procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when patient condition does not permit routine positioning.
• Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
• Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
