Advocate Health seeks a qualified Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with attention to patient safety and comfort. You will position patients, operate radiographic systems, and ensure accurate documentation and charging for exams within a busy radiology department.

The role requires ARRT registration and an active IEMA license, with new grads welcome. Training includes fluoroscopy and collaboration with surgeons and physicians to maintain high standards of care.

Competenze

• Maintains active IEMA license.
• ARRT Registry within one year of employment.
• Knowledge of all general diagnostic radiology procedures.
• New grads accepted per policy.

Mansioni

• Position patient and adjust equipment to perform procedures.
• Identify patients using two forms of ID.
• Communicate with patients using AIDET and explain delays.
• Document exam charges and verify for physician interpretation.
• Maintain patient privacy during history and discussions.
• Adhere to safety standards and perform related clerical duties.
• Understand department operations including scheduling, reception, and data center.
• Prepare transport requests and schedule inpatients/outpatients.
• Assist patients to procedure areas and transport as needed.
• Know duties of reception and data center staff.
• Package and provide CDs of images as requested.
• Verify orders, use lead markers, and obtain pregnancy consent when indicated.
• Operate radiographic equipment and adjust factors to optimize image quality.
• Check equipment daily and report malfunctions.
• Problem-solve equipment or patient-positioning issues.
• Maintain professional standards and guest relations.
• Observe dress code and radiation safety guidelines.
• Comply with regulatory standards (IDPH, IEMA, OSHA, ARRT, ASRT).
• Operate fluoroscopic procedures with surgical rotations.
• Document radiation dose and time for all cases.
• Assist radiologists with fluoroscopy and advanced procedures.
• Screen for allergies.
