Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will review requisitions, obtain pertinent history, explain procedures, and ensure ALARA compliance.

You may provide clinical instruction to radiography students, maintain imaging records, and support radiology operations under supervision. CT licensure must be obtained within 120 days of graduation; 0-1 year experience preferred for new graduates.

Qualifications

• New graduate or within 2 months of graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologic Program.
• 0-1 year of experience
• Must obtain CT licensure within 120 days of graduation date.

Responsibilities

• Greet patient, verify identity, and check requisition.
• Acquire relevant patient history for the exam.
• Explain procedures and answer patient questions.
• Follow department protocol and ALARA standards for safety.
• Produce high-quality x-rays for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain imaging records and ensure timely compliance.
• Provide clinical instruction to prospective radiographers and evaluate student performance.
