Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine in Manhattan, ACWS, seeks a dedicated X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and regulatory standards, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety.

You will work with physicians and radiology staff, position patients, adjust factors, and document procedures in HIS/RIS while maintaining ALARA and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• New York State Radiologic Technology License is required.
• In lieu of a license, a NYS permit may be accepted.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations independently per physician orders.
• Position patients and equipment to obtain optimal images while minimizing exposure.
• Adjust technical factors to ensure image quality and patient safety.
• Transmit images/reports to PACS/EMR and document timings in RIS.
• Maintain ALARA standards and HIPAA compliance in all procedures.

Education

Associate's Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology

New York State Radiologic Technology License

New York State Radiologic Technology Permit accepted in lieu of NYS License
