Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine, part of NYU Langone Health, seeks a X-Ray Technologist (FGP) to join the Manhattan ACWS team. You will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with protocols, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.

You will position patients, adjust technical factors, document using HIS/RIS, and maintain equipment while following ALARA and infection prevention measures. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• New York State Radiologic Technology License required.
• New York State Radiologic Technology Permit can be accepted in lieu of license.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations following departmental protocols and physician orders.
• Position patients and imaging equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Adjust technical factors to ensure image quality and patient safety; utilize markers and shielding as required.
• Review images for technical quality prior to submission to PACS/EMR and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain imaging area cleanliness and perform routine QC checks on equipment.
