Qualifications

• Associates degree or ARRT-accredited program preferred
• ARRT Certification and State Licensure preferred/required where applicable
• BLS required/hire for location with state specifics and patient care readiness

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and labs for licensed practitioner use
• Positions and immobilizes patient to optimize imaging
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure
• Performs radiographic procedures with imaging equipment
• Verifies consent and completes documentation
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopy and sterile technique as needed
• Performs required timeouts and safety checks
• Administers medications/contrast as prescribed by licensed practitioner
