Summary
This position is located within Radiology Services at Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr. VA Medical Center, Memphis, TN. The Interventional Radiography (IR) Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) provides patient-centered care services while acting in an ethical manner, considering safety, effectiveness, and costs related to care delivery and planning.

Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8:00AM-4:30PM / Wednesday-Saturday 8:00AM-4:30PM.
Call Required: Yes.
Telework: Not Available.
Virtual: Not a virtual position.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not authorized.
May qualify under VA's grandfathering provision if applicable.
At GS-8 level, employees provide services independently in specialized or general radiologic technology with occasional oversight. Requires at least one year of experience at the next lower grade level. Demonstrates specific technical KSAs and potential for further skill acquisition.
Must have the physical ability to perform duties involving lifting, standing, bending, and other physical tasks without assistance. A health exam is required prior to and periodically during employment.
Degrees from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education are valid. Foreign education requires a foreign equivalency certificate.
