Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to coordinate and perform routine diagnostic radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable X-rays, and surgical imaging in accordance with standards. You will receive and verify physician orders and ensure equipment readiness at shift start and end.

The role supports patient safety through proper positioning, shielding, and adherence to safety protocols, while maintaining PACS uploads and image quality.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience in related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience in radiology.
• CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT Upon Hire.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA 90 Days Or.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC 90 Days.

Responsibilities

• Performs general diagnostic radiologic procedures using standardized positioning and immobilization techniques.
• Completes proper identification and order verification; prepares patients for procedures.
• Adjusts machine settings based on patient size, age, and tissue density; positions equipment correctly.
• Protects patients from undue radiation exposure using lead shields and safety measures.
• Maintains imaging equipment with scheduled tests and cleaning; reports malfunctions.
• Evaluates images for technical quality and uploads to PACS with proper identification.
• Works under minimal supervision and may mentor less experienced staff.
