Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures, fluoroscopy, and portable X-rays in a clinic setting. The role involves preparing patients, verifying orders, and ensuring equipment readiness at each shift.

You will protect patients from unnecessary radiation and help maintain quality imaging data in PACS. Key duties include selecting appropriate machine settings, following protocols, and contributing to staff training.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in radiology with 2 years of related experience.
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (R) ARRT at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic radiologic procedures using standardized positioning.
• Produce X-ray images and ensure proper identification and order verification.
• Prepare patients and provide instructions to obtain optimal results while minimizing anxiety.
• Select machine settings based on patient size, age, and tissue density.
• Ensure radiation safety with lead shields and protective measures.
• Maintain equipment and document results; forward images to PACS.
• Contribute to training and mentorship as needed.
