Job summary

VPFW in the United States seeks an OB/GYN sonographer to perform ultrasound procedures, record findings, and forward images to the reading physician. The role requires maintaining equipment, ensuring timely documentation, and supporting a collaborative team.

Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN sonography experience with ARDMS OBGYN registered and BLS certification is required; NT credentialed is preferred. This on-site position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for CME and PTO.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in ultrasound physics and instrumentation for image optimization.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in unfamiliar situations and seeks guidance as needed.
  • Performs work accurately and timely in a busy schedule.

Description

Requirements

  • Display knowledge of the theory, techniques, operation and care of the equipment and the principles of ALARA radiation safety.
  • Display high degree of working knowledge of ultrasound physics and instrumentation as it applies to image optimization.
  • Work independently to set priorities and perform job with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in handling situations not covered by written or verbal instruction and seek guidance as needed.
  • Perform work accurately and in a timely manner in an environment of full schedules.
Education and Experience:

A minimum of 1 year of prior OBGYN sonographer experience. Proficiency in GYN and all OB trimester scans.

  • ARDMS OBGYN registered
  • BLS certified
  • NT credentialed (preferred)
Physical Requirements

Requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending and reaching. Requires lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills.
