Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science.
• ASCP certification eligible; ASCP/AMT preferred certifications.
• Military medical lab training or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, or Urinalysis.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competencies to perform and analyze laboratory tests.
• Prepares reagents, standards, and controls following prescribed protocols.
• Performs test analysis efficiently and maintains calibration, standardization, and instrument upkeep.
• Researches and develops new procedures as assigned.
• Adheres to safety, hospital, department, and personnel policies.
• Utilizes computer systems for daily laboratory operations.
• Acts professionally within the healthcare environment, supporting continuous growth.
• Assists in training new employees and students.
• Contributes to teamwork, quality improvement, and departmental productivity.
• Performs other related duties as needed.
