Job summary

Astria Health is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist I for the Radiology Department at Astria Toppenish Hospital. The role performs diagnostic X-ray procedures, prepares patient records, and processes images under physician orders. You will calibrate equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Requirements include a 2-year degree, WA X-ray/Radiologic Technologist Certification, ARRT Radiology certification (within 12 months), and BLS. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technologist curriculum.
  • WA X-ray or Radiologic Technologist Certification currently held.
  • AART Certification in Radiology; registry within 12 months of hire.
  • BLS certification required; English fluency required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic x-ray procedures per physician orders and hospital procedures.
  • Prepare patient histories and charts, process radiographs/images.
  • Maintain radiology equipment and ensure correct technique and shielding.
  • Recognize abnormal images and monitor patient physiologic changes during imaging.
  • Collaborate across departments and uphold core organizational standards.

Astria Health is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist I to join our team! This position is located at our Astria Toppenish Hospital in the Radiology Department.
Shift: Variable Shifts
What you get to do every day!

As the Diagnostic Imaging Technologist I, you will be expected to be able to perform diagnostic x-ray procedures, in accordance with physicians’ orders and established hospital/clinic procedure. The technologist prepares procedures for interpretation by obtaining correct patient histories, preparing the patient chart, and processing the radiographs/images. You will:

  • Knowledge of anatomy & physiology, cross sectional anatomy, and proper positioning to obtain best imaging.
  • Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding
  • Calibrate and maintain radiology equipment
  • Ability to recognize unusual/abnormal images
  • Ability to monitor the patients’ physiologic changes during imaging
  • Preform other duties as assigned
  • Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization
Requirements
  • Graduate of or second year attending an accredited Radiologic Technologist curriculum
  • Current Washington State X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist Certification
  • Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) in Radiology. (Registry will be obtained within 12 months of hire).
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Oral and written fluency in the English language
