Astria Health in Sunnyside, WA is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform assays on patient samples using automated and manual testing procedures to aid provider diagnosis and treatment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology field and English fluency. A national ASCP certification is preferred. Shift is a 12-hour day schedule with full-time employment and a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Maintains policies and procedures to stay in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.
• Recognizes problems, identifies causes and makes corrections using preset strategies.
• Performs other duties as assigned; collaborates across organizational boundaries; adheres to core values.

As the Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist, you will be responsible to p erforms assays accurately and timely on patient samples utilizing a variety of automated and manual testing procedures to aid the provider in patient diagnosis and treatment.

• Capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis and instrument maintenance and problem solving.
• Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of laboratory test results with minimal supervision.
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infections control standards, so the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.
• Able to recognize problems, identify the cause and make simple corrections by using preset strategies
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
• Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.

Shift: 12 hour day shift , More information will be provided during the interview.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology.
• National certification from ASCP Preferred.
• Oral and written fluency in the English language.
