Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group in Nashville, NC, is seeking a full-time Radiology Technologist to support General Diagnostic Radiology. You will perform routine imaging, verify patient data, operate RIS, PACS and HIS, and adhere to safety protocols.

No prior radiology experience is required; an Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences and ARRT registration or eligibility are expected, along with BLS certification. The role is onsite with day hours and standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program; degree to be completed within 90 days if not yet finished.
• ARNRT registration or registry-eligibility with plan to achieve registration within 1 year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices beyond general and electrical safety.
• No prior radiology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology and adheres to departmental protocols.
• Ensures correct patient demographics, examines requests, and saves and transmits images to PACS; documents procedure status.
• Operates radiology equipment to acquire diagnostic data and reviews orders and images for accuracy.
• Maintains orderly work environment, schedules, and communicates issues to supervisor.
• Uses RIS, CIS, PACS and SMS to access and document procedure status and ensure data arrival to PACS.
• Verifies patient identity, assesses condition, and ensures patient safety; responds to emergencies.
