UNC Health Care is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist in Cary, NC. The role involves performing routine diagnostic radiology procedures, preparing and assisting radiologists, and ensuring high-quality imaging while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualified candidates will have an associate degree in Radiologic Sciences, ARRT registration or eligibility, and BLS certification. No prior experience is required.

Formación

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program. If degree is not yet complete, candidates may be selected contingent on completing a degree program within 90 days of hire.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• No prior experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology and adheres to department protocols; obtains RT(R) credentials and assists with equipment and protocol troubleshooting.
• Ensures patient demographics and examinations are correct, saves pertinent images, transmits QA-ed images to PACS, documents procedure status in RIS, maintains equipment and reports issues.
• Conducts routine procedures and tests to acquire patient diagnostic data with quality radiographic images.
• Reviews orders and images, verifies patient information, and maintains a clean, safe work environment; communicates improvement opportunities to supervisor.
• Uses RIS, CIS, PACS and SMS to access information and document status; completes exams in RIS and transmits data to PACS.
• Verifies patient identity and history, checks pregnancy status before radiation, assesses condition and calls for additional personnel if needed; ensures patient safety.
