Job summary

UNC Health in Nashville seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine radiography procedures and assist radiologists in complex exams. You will prep patients, optimize image quality, and ensure safety and accuracy in data handling.

The role requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent radiologic program completion, ARRT registration or eligibility, and BLS certification. Prior experience is not required, and you will work onsite in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by ARRT or registry eligible and registered within one year from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of general diagnostic radiology and adheres to departmental protocols and policies; assists in troubleshooting equipment and protocols.
  • Ensures patient demographics and exam requests are correct; transmits QA-ed images to PACS; documents completion in RIS; utilizes RIS, PACS, and HIS systems.
  • Conducts routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data.
  • Uses RIS, CIS, PACS and HIS to access information and document status; completes exam in RIS; verifies information arrive in PACS.
