Qualifications

• Current Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Students within an ARRT-recognized program may apply and must pass the registry within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Produces routine and specialized radiographs (including portable, surgical, bone survey).
• Applies radiation safety and patient protection guidelines.
• Provides emotional support and information to patients.
• Coordinates with physicians and nursing staff.
• Operates and maintains radiographic equipment and film processing systems.
• Documents results to the patient record.
• Educates staff and students on radiologic procedures as assigned.
• Participates in quality control, quality assurance, and quality improvement.
• Performs clerical, darkroom, film processing, patient transport, and related tasks.
