Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital in northwest Iowa seeking a Patient Care Assistant. You will assist patients before procedures, support technicians, and help manage patient flow through the department.

Qualifications

• Valid medical certification and ability to start IVs per scope of practice.
• Minimum 2 years healthcare experience preferred; BLS required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients getting ready/changing for procedures.
• Assists technicians with treatment procedures.
• Helps with patient flow in/out of rooms.
• Maintains clean, organized patient areas and adheres to sanitation standards.
• Answers phones and directs calls; protects patient confidentiality.
• Assists with transfer of patients within the hospital and to external facilities.
• Participates in departmental cleaning activities as assigned.
• Transports and restocks supplies related to department and patient care needs.
