Job summary

Penn Medicine seeks a Cytotechnologist to perform routine and complex diagnostic tasks in Cytopathology, ensuring accuracy and compliance with CLIA and CAP standards. You will support PreAnalytic, Analytic, and PostAnalytic steps and contribute to high-quality patient care.

Required is a Bachelor degree in Cytology, Medical Technology, or Biology and MT/MLT (ASCP) certification or eligibility, with at least 2 years of lab experience and strong communication within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Cytology, Medical Technology, or Biology with at least 2 years of experience as a Cytotechnologist in a full service laboratory.
• MT (ASCP), MLT (ASCP), HEW or eligible.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides clear, accurate intra/extradepartmental communication.
• Ensures CLIA and CAP compliance and maintains quality.
• Screens slides and manages PreAnalytic, Analytic, and PostAnalytic steps.
• Maintains safety and a professional work environment.
