Job summary

Onsite Women's Health in the United States is seeking a certified Breast Ultrasound Sonographer to independently operate sonographic equipment and report results for diagnostic breast examinations. The role involves daily lab operations, QA, and maintenance while ensuring patient safety and privacy.

Qualified candidates will hold ARDMS ultrasound certification, ARDMS/ARRT Breast Certification, and be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment. EOE.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography.
• ARDMS certification in Ultrasound.
• ARDMS or ARRT Breast Certification is desired; breast imaging experience is a must.
• BS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable.
• Active ARDMS certification in the specialty(ies) as appropriate.
• CME requirements current for specialty(ies).
• Self-starter who can work without daily supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations following safety protocols.
• Ensure patient safety during the exam and review medical history.
• Verify that the order is complete and medically necessary.
• Evaluate contraindications and patient readiness for examination.
• Communicate findings clearly to patient and prepare preliminary report.
• Operate daily lab functions and assist with QA and equipment maintenance.
