Job summary

Texas A&M University Health Science Center, McAllen Campus, is seeking a Diabetes Education Program Manager. The role leads all DEP activities, coordinates health education across the Rio Grande Valley, and works with leadership to ensure high-quality care for participants.

The position requires a Bachelor's in a health field, five years supervising staff, licensure as an RD/LDN, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
Five years of professional work experience with staff supervision.
State Licensure and American Dietetic Association Registration and License (RD/LDN).
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day Diabetes Education Program activities across the four-county Rio Grande Valley.
Oversee inventory, requisition, equipment and supplies for the program.
Collaborate with the Director on planning, budgeting and program evaluation.
Supervise program staff and interns; conduct regular staff meetings.
Travel up to 30% within the service area and occasional trips for training.
Develop educational materials and outreach activities; ensure ADA standards alignment.
