Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Automation is seeking engineering students for the Digital Industries Automation Internship Program - Technical Consulting Track. The internship is a 12-week summer program (May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027) based at a DI Automation hub such as Alpharetta, GA.

It aims to develop technical expertise, consultative skills, and business proficiencies for roles in technical solution consulting and entry-level programs after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in engineering or related technical major (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Computer)
• Available to work 40 hours per week May 17–Aug 6, 2027
• Familiarity with industrial automation technologies such as PLCs, HMI/SCADA, instrumentation
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Interest in applying technical knowledge to understand customer challenges and provide solutions
• Growth mindset and adaptability in changing priorities
• Ability to collaborate across technical, sales, marketing and other cross-functional teams
• Willing to relocate to DI Automation hubs for the summer (relocation assistance provided)
• Willing to travel up to 20% with valid driver's license
• Work authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Learn Siemens DI Automation products and end-to-end solutions
• Research customer needs and match technologies to opportunities
• Analyze data to drive sales growth
• Create technical marketing and digital enablement materials (playbooks, brochures, content, proposals)
• Develop technical education content and guides explaining Siemens solutions to customers
