Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a DHS Business Analyst in Washington, DC to support mission-critical initiatives across six areas including analytics, process improvement, and executive reporting. You will work with DHS leadership and program teams to drive efficiency and modernization.

The role emphasizes gathering requirements, conducting analysis, and producing policy memos and briefing materials for senior leadership, with a focus on cross-component collaboration and impactful operational change.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• One (1) or more years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, policy analysis, program management, management consulting, strategy, operations, or related field.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting research/analysis, and developing stakeholder recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication for senior-level audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes, workflows, and organizational operations to identify opportunities for efficiency and improved performance.
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements through stakeholder engagement, interviews, workshops, and analysis of current-state processes.
• Develop process maps, SOPs, user guides, and recommendations to support operational improvements and modernization.
• Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to develop insights, dashboards, and executive reporting products.
• Draft policy memoranda, executive correspondence, briefing materials, and other written products for senior DHS leadership.
• Coordinate with DHS components and stakeholders to implement policies and strategic priorities across offices.
