Goodwill of Greater Detroit is seeking an entry-level Retail Associate in Woodhaven, MI to provide world-class customer service on the floor and at the register. This paid, full-time role helps maintain an appealing sales floor and supports mission-driven programs.

Our retail Associates help to maintain an appealing sales floor and provide world-class customer service to shoppers on the sales floor and at the register. You'll need to learn about our mission and programs, enjoy talking to and helping people, and love seeing shoppers find great deals! This is an excellent entry-level role at a Goodwill store and is eligible for incentive pay based on both the store's and your performance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires standing and walking and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, bending, and reaching with hands and arms. Requires frequent lifting and moving of light items, up to 10 pounds, and occasional lifting and moving of items up to 25 pounds. May be required to stand for entire shift.
MENTAL DEMANDS:
Requires energetic, team-oriented individual with a positive “can-do” attitude and an ability to understand, accept and work with people who have disabilities and/or other barriers to employment.

Mix of production and retail environments. Usually fast-paced.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and appearance at all times. Must be 16 years of age or older. Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, extended hours and holidays. Must pass a background check.
