Goodwill of Greater Detroit is seeking an entry-level store inventory clerk to sort and price donated items, stock the sales floor, and perform related duties in a fast-paced thrift store environment.
Eligible for incentive pay and benefits; must be 16+ and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork are essential.
Our store inventory clerks are responsible for a variety of jobs, including sorting and pricing shoes and accessories, sorting clothing donations, tagging housewares and electronics, and helping to move priced clothes, housewares, shoes and accessories to the sales floor of the store. You'll need to enjoy learning lots of different jobs. This is a great entry-level role at a Goodwill store and is eligible for incentive pay based on the store's performance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED: Any combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the job.
PREFERRED: N/A.
Requires standing and walking and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, bending, and reaching with hands and arms. Requires frequent lifting and moving of light items, up to 10 pounds, and occasional lifting and moving of items up to 25 pounds. May be required to stand for entire shift.
Requires energetic, team-oriented individual with a positive “can-do” attitude and an ability to understand, accept and work with people who have disabilities and/or other barriers to employment.
