Job summary

Milestone Electric, Air & Plumbing in Fort Worth is seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Service Technician. You will diagnose, repair and maintain home heating and cooling systems, travel to customer sites, and coordinate with dispatch to keep schedules clear and customers informed.

Required are at least 3 years of residential HVAC experience, EPA certification, and a State Registered TDLR license, plus strong organizational and customer‑service skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of HVAC residential service experience.
• A current EPA certification and State Registered TDLR (required).
• Excellent organization, communication, and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Travel to job sites and coordinate with dispatch to keep customers informed.
• Be available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis to service emergencies.
• Maintain the company vehicle, refuel, report issues, and file inspections.
• EXTREME customer service skills and clearly relay information to homeowners.
• Maintain stock, tools, and safety equipment on the vehicle.
• Educate homeowners on opportunities for additional services.
• Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units.
• Must meet the physical requirements listed in this description.
• May perform other job duties as directed by team leaders.
• Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
• Active (Valid) Driver’s License (3 yrs clean driving history) required.
• Candidates must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Job description

(MUST HAVE RESIDENTIAL HVAC EXPERIENCE- THIS IS NOT AN APPRENTICE POSITON)

Operate, maintain, and repair all equipment used for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning for residence equipment. This individual supports the business by traveling to customers and helping create solutions for their homes. You will partner with the business to diagnose issues and repairs. In addition to supporting Milestone efforts to ensure we are effectively communicating with our customers.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
• Travel to job sites in the service area and work with dispatch to ensure the schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer.
• Be available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs of our customers.
• Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues, and filling out and submitting vehicle inspection form.
• EXTREME customer service skills, Ability to interact with homeowners, collect money and relay information clearly.
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment on the vehicle.
• Educate homeowner on potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services)
• Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential customers. Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.

Physical And Mental Requirements

• Must be able to lift and move items of 75 pounds and/or more on regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
• Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis for extended periods
• Must be able to work in cramped or high places such as attics, ladders and tunnels
• Must be able to carry heavy items up and down stairs
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, rain, snow or sleet
• Must have mental skills such as critical thinking , problem solving, and a technical vocabulary to understand direction and adhere to established procedures.
• Must be willing to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such as customer service complaints.
