Job summary

The Hudson Council On Aging seeks a Drug-Free Communities Program Coordinator to lead the CDC grant program for Hudson. You will collaborate with the Hudson Health Department, Hudson YSAP, and local stakeholders to advance youth substance-use prevention through community-level strategies.

Responsibilities include developing prevention plans, coordinating coalitions, reporting outcomes, and delivering outreach and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field.
• 2–3 years’ experience in the public health prevention field.
• Experience coordinating and convening community coalitions.
• Experience working with diverse community populations.
• Experience facilitating groups and meetings.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor strategic prevention plans aligned with grant goals.
• Strengthen partnerships across 12 DFC sectors including schools and law enforcement.
• Support evidence-based strategies to reduce youth substance use.
• Promote awareness through events, campaigns and educational materials.
• Collaborate with town officials, schools, youth groups, and social services.
• Engage youth leaders and adult volunteers in prevention initiatives.
• Track outcomes and complete required reports.
• Participate in training and professional development.
• Perform other duties as required.
