Job summary

Intrepid Acquisition Holdings, LLC is seeking an Alternate Manager DFAC to oversee all food service operations in DFACs when the DFAC Manager is unavailable. You will supervise chefs, dining room coordinators, and food service staff, ensuring meal quality, safety, and timely service across multiple locations.

You will develop operation plans, manage budgets and procurement, coordinate with PMO and Site Managers, and ensure adherence to regulations and standardized logs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in food management or five years military food service experience substituting for three years of management experience.
• Requires three (3) years of food services experience within the past ten (10) years, with at least three years in supervisory roles.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible life support operational management in large facilities (500+ persons).
• Experience in OCONUS environments is desirable, with Middle East experience highly desirable.
• Fluent written and spoken English is required.

Responsibilities

• Receives authority from and reports to the Site Manager for all aspects of high-quality food operations including procurement, delivery, preparation and serving.
• Review and submit inventory counts using government-provided sheets.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive food operation plan including movement from current DFAC operations to cafeteria-style delivery.
• Manage U.S. nationals, local nationals, and other country nationals in food operations.
• Oversee staffing, recruitment, training, and performance standards for food service personnel.
• Coordinate daily with Program Manager, Operations Manager, and Site Operations Managers.
• Oversee menu preparations, input, and approval of meal nutrition, palatability, and costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards for food service operations.
