Job summary

K2 Space is seeking a Platform Engineer for the Enterprise Information Systems team to build deployment patterns and governance tooling that enable secure, reliable applications across AI-assisted workflows. You will ensure guardrails, observability, and scalable developer tooling across engineering teams.

Eligible candidates have 2+ years building platforms, are proficient in Go/TypeScript/Python/C#, and have hands-on experience with Amazon EKS and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years building developer tooling, platforms, or deployment patterns.
• Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, Python, or C#.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications on Amazon EKS.
• Experience with CI/CD and disciplined Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain golden-path deployment patterns for Amazon EKS with guardrails.
• Drive secure AI adoption with governance, observability, and operational support for AI workflows.
• Create automated policies and CI/CD gates enforcing code quality and safe deployments.
• Integrate end-to-end monitoring, alerting, and SLOs into the platform.
• Track performance and cost and diagnose anomalies.
• Write docs and diagnostics to shorten support loops.
• Run proofs of concept on new AI platforms and developer tools.
• Learn manufacturing domain and simplify security and identity concerns.
