Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a major federal modernization program in Huntsville, AL. The DevSecOps Engineer will drive secure automation, CI/CD pipeline development, infrastructure-as-code initiatives, and cloud-based delivery across AWS and hybrid environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, and security practices to ensure robust software delivery in a regulated

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD engineering, secure automation, or related disciplines.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance required.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, and configuration management tools.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud environments, secure software development practices, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with automated security tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, Anchore, Twistlock, or Nessus preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting automated builds, testing, security scanning, and deployments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
• Integrate security controls, compliance validations, and automated vulnerability scanning into deployment pipelines.
• Support containerized application deployments utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native services.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, cloud, and product teams to troubleshoot deployment issues and improve automation processes.

DevSecOps Engineer - Location: Huntsville, AL

Compensation for the DevSecOps Engineer includes:

• $165,000 - $175,000
