Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a DevOps System Engineer to support a U.S. Air Force program in Rancho Bernardo, CA. Hybrid work with 2x/week onsite; role focuses on sustainment, CI/CD, and cloud migration for a critical application.

Required active Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred), 5+ years of related system engineering experience, and hands-on with AWS, Kubernetes, Ansible, and CI/CD tools. Beneficial certifications and DoD‑friendly environment experience.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance; Top Secret preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 5+ years related system engineering experience.
• IAT II certifications such as CySA+, Security+, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP are required or preferred.
• Experience with AWS, cloud services, and air-gapped environments.
• Experience supporting Agile development environments.
• Experience with containerization and automation using Kubernetes and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Experience with monitoring tools like SonarQube and Fortify.
• Experience maintaining RHEL/Linux infrastructure.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevOps System Engineer to support a U.S. Air Force program in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The team is seeking an experienced engineer to support sustainment, continuous integration and deployment of software for the first mission-critical application to complete a cloud migration. Details below:

Clearance: Secret Clearance, Top Secret preferred

Location: Rancho Bernardo, CA (Hybrid – 2x/week onsite)

Responsibilities of the System Engineer:

• Design and maintain secure, scalable on-premises infrastructure.

• Experience supporting Agile development environment
• Experience with containerization and automation using Kubernetes and Ansible
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Bitbucket
• Experience with monitoring tools (SonarQube, Fortify)
• Experience maintaining RHEL/Linux infrastructure

Compensation of the System Engineer:

• Total compensation based on experience level - $150,000-$185,000+ **based on experience level**
