Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related technical field and 2 years experience.
• Experience developing software in Linux, Unix, or Windows environments.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Groovy, Kotlin, C++, or Ada.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Security clearance - this position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and to maintain the clearance thereafter.
• You must be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
• Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis to develop telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot mission-critical software supporting NASA ground terminal operations.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Ansible, and related automation tooling.
• Implement secure, automated deployment workflows supporting containerized applications such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Ensure compliance with NASA security, safety, and mission assurance requirements, including cybersecurity policies and configuration standards.
• Support accreditation and assessment processes aligned with NASA procedural requirements.
• Conduct static code analysis and automated testing using tools.
• Manage hybrid infrastructures including Linux/Windows systems, virtualization platforms.
• Provide hands-on technical support to NASA operators and mission teams.
• Document system configurations, software changes, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with Agile development teams to improve system reliability and performance.
