Job summary

Trinzic, the spin-off of KBR Mission Technology Solutions, is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and secure large-scale demo systems at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA. Hybrid work is possible.

The role requires a secret clearance, 5–10 years in DevOps/security, and strong container, CI/CD, and cloud skills across Linux environments. You will lead security automation and mentor engineers to raise DevSecOps maturity.

Qualifications

Secret security clearance required.
Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or EE.
5–10 years in software development, systems engineering, or DevOps.
Expert-level containerization with Docker/Podman, Kubernetes.
Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and security scans.
Familiar with SBOM-based dependency scans (Trivy/Semgrep/Gemnasium).
Proficient with Java, Python, and Node package managers.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10+ experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as the DevSecOps subject-matter expert and architectural authority.
Define standards, reference architectures, and best practices used across teams.
Design and implement secure, scalable cloud and hybrid platforms.
Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
Evaluate, select, and integrate DevSecOps tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA).
Lead container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
Maintain security vulnerability databases and monitor GitLab dashboards.
Mentor engineers and elevate DevSecOps maturity across the organization.
Lead technical reviews, architecture discussions, and root cause analyses.
Communicate risk and tradeoffs to leadership.
