Job summary

Trinzic, a spin-off from KBR Mission Technology Solutions, is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to large-scale communications system demos. Role involves C++ real-time development, protocol/state machine work, and collaboration across disciplines at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, with hybrid/remote options.

Requirements include DoD secret clearance, 5+ years in C++ and Java, UML, deployment experience, and strong software modeling capabilities. Travel up to 10% CONUS.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science (or related field) with strong real-time code development
• At least 5 years of C++/C++11 experience
• At least 5 years of Java/JavaScript experience
• At least 5 years of Source Control experience
• At least 5 years of object-oriented development
• At least 5 years of UML experience
• Minimum 5 years of software deployment experience and modern deployment techniques
• Minimum 5 years of software DevSecOps experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience with algorithms, patterns and data structures
• Minimum 5 years of distributed systems and IPC

Responsibilities

• Software architecture definition
• System software design and implementation (primarily in C++), including protocol and state machine design
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to design and prototype communications-based software
• Integration, test design, and support from lab and field experiments
• Prepare technical documentation for software architectures, code, specifications and presentations
