Job summary

Leidos is advancing mission-critical platforms that automate and secure delivery pipelines for Navy and DoD environments. The DevSecOps Engineer builds and sustains CI/CD, hardens Kubernetes, and automates security across the delivery lifecycle to keep pace with rapid software delivery while meeting compliance.

You will collaborate with software and systems engineers, implement IaC and GitOps, generate SBOMs, run CVE triage, and help maintain evidence for ATO.

Qualifications

• BS degree and 4+ years of professional DevSecOps/DevOps engineering experience.
• 8+ years of total relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI; experience with additional pipeline tools a plus.
• Experience with Kubernetes administration and hardening in DoD or compliance-driven environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tooling, particularly Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and maintain hardened Kubernetes environments aligned to DISA STIG requirements.
• Automate security artifact generation including SBOM production, CVE scanning, and continuous compliance validation.
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code, GitOps practices, and controls-as-code across the team.
• Leverage AI tooling to accelerate pipeline development and remediation.
• Partner with engineers to embed security and compliance early in development.
• Maintain deployment infrastructure across multiple secure environments.
• Support ATO processes through automated evidence generation and documentation as code.
