Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in the US. You will manage OpenShift/Kubernetes environments, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and implement infrastructure as code across AWS services. The role requires 8+ years IT experience, a Public Trust clearance, and the ability to work 24/7 on incident response when required.

You will collaborate with Agile teams, integrate monitoring tools, and automate manual tasks to improve system performance and reliability.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • DevOps experience in AWS Cloud environment (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC Peering, RDS, NAT Gateway).
  • In-depth knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes (preferably 4.x), ArgoCD and GitOps.
  • Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
  • Experience creating build/deployment config files for applications on OpenShift.
  • Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with OpenShift/OCP.
  • Proficient scripting in Perl/Python/Shell.
  • Languages/Frameworks: Java, Python, Go, Bash, Ansible Playbooks.
  • Candidates must obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 of the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering solutions for OpenShift toward operations and onboarding.
  • Onboard business workloads, troubleshoot and triage problems.
  • Deliver multitier support (Tier 1–3) including 24/7 escalation.
  • Develop and maintain IaC using Lambda, CloudFormation, Terraform and Puppet.
  • Design automated, containerized cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to manage Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
  • Integrate SonarQube, Fortify into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide access management to Infra and DevOps tools.
  • Troubleshoot Infra issues with AWS support for resolution.
  • Develop automation to reduce manual effort.
  • Recommend performance enhancements based on analysis.
  • Develop monitoring/alerting/trending with AWS CloudWatch, SNS, New Relic, Splunk.
  • Be available 24/7 for incident response during mission-critical events per SLOs/SLAs.

Job description

  • Be a part of the team that will provide engineering solutions for OpenShift towards operations and onboarding.
  • Onboarding business workloads, support troubleshoot and triage problems.
  • Be a part of the team that provide multitier support (Tier 1 to Tier 3), including the 24/7 escalation schedule.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as code using Lambda, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform and Puppet.
  • Design automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions and integrate workloads to containerized workflows with automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Agile scrum teams or tenants to establish and manage Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
  • Integrate code analysis tools such as Sonar Cube, Fortify into the CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide access management to Infrastructure and DevOps tools.
  • Troubleshoot Infrastructure issues, collaborate with AWS support for resolution.
  • Develop automation to reduce the routine manual effort.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing system performance via analysis and potential modifications.
  • Develop solution for Monitoring, Alerting, and Trending with AWS Cloudwatch, SNS, New Relic and Splunk etc..
  • Engineering resources are expected to be available 24/7 for incident response during mission-critical events, commensurate with standard Marketplace SLOs / SLAs during the events.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of IT experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • DevOps Experience in AWS Cloud environment is a must using services like EC2, AWS S3, IAM, VPC Peering, RDS, NAT Gateway etc..
  • In depth knowledge in Openshift/Kubernetes, preferably 4.x, ArgoCD and GitOps
  • Experience with System configuration tools like Ansible.
  • Experience in creating Build, Deployment config files for applications on OpenShift.
  • Firsthand experience in building CI/CD pipelines with Red Hat OpenShift/OCP
  • Proficient scripting skills in Perl/python/shell scripting
  • Good communication skills, self-motivated and positive attitude to work independently in a team environment.
  • Languages Frameworks: Java, Python, Go, Bash Scripting, Ansible Playbooks, etc.
  • Tools (Plus): New Relic, Splunk, Ansible Automation Platform, Jenkins.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years.
