Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps/Release Train Engineer who will be responsible for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and supporting API services on container orchestration platforms. This role requires practical experience with cloud services, containerization, infrastructure automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). The engineer will collaborate with development, architecture, security, and operations teams to ensure secure, reliable, and repeatable deployments across various environments. Communication of release status and progress to both business and technical stakeholders is also a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute production releases, validate system health post-deployment, and maintain tested rollback procedures and runbooks.
  • Configure and operate cloud-based databases, including container creation, index maintenance, resource allocation, and data management.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, artifact publishing, and deployment processes across environments.
  • Configure containerized application deployments, services, ingress, health checks, resource requests, and environment-specific settings.
  • Ensure secure API connectivity through DNS, TLS certificates, load balancing, private endpoints, and necessary integrations.
  • Implement least-privilege access controls, manage identities, and secure secrets using vault solutions.
  • Integrate automated testing, security checks, and approval processes into deployment pipelines.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, dashboards, and actionable alerts for infrastructure and API workloads.
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues, container and network problems, and performance bottlenecks; collaborate with teams to resolve root causes.
  • Maintain consistent deployment documentation, environment configurations, and change records in line with enterprise security and change management standards.
  • Partner with developers and platform teams to resolve infrastructure dependencies and prepare services for production.
  • Enhance deployment reliability, system recovery, resource utilization, and cost efficiency through automation and operational improvements.
  • Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams and stakeholders to improve delivery practices.
  • Support program execution, operational excellence, reporting, and governance in collaboration with leadership.
  • When necessary, assist in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining infrastructure components, developing infrastructure as code, and automating routine operational tasks.
Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience provisioning, configuring, and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure components, including networking, identity management, vault solutions, and container registries.
  • Practical experience deploying and supporting containerized APIs on orchestration platforms, with skills in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and related tools.
  • Experience creating YAML-based CI/CD pipelines in platforms like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, including automated testing, artifact management, and rollback capabilities.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Bicep, with experience in version control and scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems, RESTful APIs, DNS, TLS, ingress, load balancing, access controls, and secrets management.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production issues, perform incident management, and execute controlled releases.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications in cloud computing, Kubernetes, or DevOps.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-grade API, data integration, or platform solutions in regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with GitOps tools, progressive deployment strategies, and monitoring solutions like Prometheus or Grafana.

Knowledge of advanced networking configurations, workload identity, disaster recovery planning, and testing within cloud environments.
