DevOps Engineer (Operations)

Denver, CO – 100% Onsite (Locals Only)

Contract, 12+ Months

$58–60/hr

Base Pay Range

$55.00/hr – $60.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems.
• Perform engineering design evaluations and may develop a range of products.
• Recommend alterations to development and design to improve product and/or procedural quality.
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines, working under immediate supervision and reporting to a supervisor or manager.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix production software issues; develop monitoring solutions, perform software maintenance, and implement solutions.
• Develop standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness.
• Make recommendations related to testing techniques and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 6 to 8 years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Knowledge of common concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
• Experience automating software deployment using tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
• Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration.
• Ability to utilize and work with a large variety of open source technologies and tools.
• Experience with systems and IT operations.
• Data management skills emphasizing automation tools.
• Experience with revision control systems, including branching and tagging strategies using GitHub.
• Able to build strong relationships with QA and Software Engineers in an operational capacity to maintain continuous delivery of critical systems.
• Experience provisioning and managing applications on virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS and OpenStack preferred).
• Strong skillset in deployment and network operations or SysAdmin with scripting and coding background.
• Container experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
