Job summary

Raytheon is seeking an experienced software platform engineer to shape architecture, deploy pipelines, and lead an Agile team onsite in multiple U.S. locations. You will automate deployments, manage configurations with Puppet/Ansible, and collaborate across development and operations to improve performance and reliability.

The role emphasizes security practices, cloud and container technologies, and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years related experience.
• Experience with Git for version control and Linux environments.
• Experience with Windows system administration and monitoring.
• 5+ years in an Agile development environment.
• Experience integrating Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes for automated deployments.
• 5+ years AWS cloud and VMs in a PaaS environment.
• Familiar with security practices and networking, PCI compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop platform architecture, deployment, and debugging throughout the software lifecycle.
• Build and maintain release pipelines for secure, fast production delivery.
• Lead an Agile team and participate in all ceremonies.
• Automate release deployments across dev, test, staging, prod with scripting.
• Set up sites/apps via Puppet and Ansible.
• Maintain documentation and tracking tools (Confluence, Jira).
• Improve service stack performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align development and operations.
