Job summary

Raytheon in Woburn, MA is seeking a Principal DevOps Tools Engineer to design, implement and support DevOps solutions for key programs. You will help engineers deploy, automate, and optimize pipelines across cloud and on‑prem environments while ensuring security and compliance.

The role requires a solid Linux background, experience with multiple DevOps tools, and the ability to work onsite. A U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux system administration.
• Experience installing and supporting server-based DevOps tools (Jira, Git, Bitbucket, GitLab, Confluence, Coverity, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, IBM Rational).
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support DevOps solutions for key programs.
• Develop, refine and scale infrastructure for faster engineering delivery.
• Automate build/test pipelines across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Improve performance and reliability through automated testing and issue mitigation.
• Ensure security and compliance of tooling including patching and hardening.
• Document implemented DevOps environments with procedures and program profiles.
