Job summary

Raytheon invites applications for a Senior Platform DevOps Engineer in Aurora, CO. You will design, implement, and sustain platform infrastructure across build, test, and production, focusing on cloud-based ecosystems with automation to accelerate releases.

The role emphasizes DevSecOps, security integration, and cross-team collaboration to support a large-scale national asset. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in platform engineering, RedHat Linux expertise, and experience with CI/CD pipelines,

Qualifications

Typically requires BS/BA degree in STEM and minimum 5 years of related work experience.
RedHat Linux: installation, configuration, and maintenance of RedHat Linux operating systems.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
Automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef to streamline deployment and management.
DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) compliance.
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance required on day 1; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, integrate, and support platform and infrastructure environments across build, test, and production stages.
Automate configuration management, streamline deployment, and optimize performance and scalability.
Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and other teams to deliver resilient platform solutions.
Embed security and compliance measures into the platform, including encryption and access control.
Provide ongoing operational support to maintain platform stability and performance.
