Job summary

Akina Inc in Fort Meade, MD is seeking a Development Operations Engineer 2 to provide Tier I/II support for a 24×7/365 operational environment. The role emphasizes incident management, acting as the SPOC between the service provider and users, and maintaining clear communication throughout incident lifecycles.

Qualified candidates will have Kubernetes experience, Linux, Docker, and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Recent experience within the last three years in Kubernetes and cluster orchestration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or four years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• MS in Engineering or CS may substitute for Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I/II support for the integrated watchfloor in a 24×7/365 environment.
• Serve as SPOC between the service provider and operational users.
• Log, categorize, prioritize, and track incidents via a standardized ticketing system.
• Ensure coverage of the watch floor and perform initial diagnosis using knowledge bases.
• Escalate issues to Tier II following procedures and document steps for the knowledge base.
