Job summary

Mountville Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer II to own and evolve the infrastructure behind our software, focusing on CI/CD, Azure, and Kubernetes-based deployments. You will build, secure, and scale containerized applications while improving reliability and velocity.

You will collaborate with a tight-knit platform team, implement IaC with Terraform, and drive GitOps practices to keep deployments in sync with version control, ensuring smooth production handoffs.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
• Proven DevOps experience with CI/CD practices and modern tooling.
• Hands‑on experience with Git and GitHub — repository management, branching, and code reviews.
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps for pipeline creation and management.
• Solid experience managing Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
• Genuine hands‑on Kubernetes experience—deploying, operating, and troubleshooting real workloads.
• Experience defining infrastructure with Terraform and Linux scripting.

Responsibilities

• CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and maintenance using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Manage Git repositories, branching strategies, and code reviews.
• Configure and operate Azure cloud resources with emphasis on security and availability.
• Deploy, scale, and troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads.
• Define infrastructure with Terraform; apply GitOps to sync state.
• Build monitoring, logging, and alerting to pre-empt issues.
• Apply security best practices across the platform.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve team velocity.
• Collaborate with development teams for smooth production handoffs.
